„Game Time“

В периода 17 – 24 ноември взех участие в проекта “Game time” в град Фелберт (Есен), Германия. Основната тема беше дизайн на игри, а целта на проекта беше създаването на образователна игра.
Първите два дни преминаха в запознаване, социализиране, обсъждане на елементите, които правят една игра образователна, и изграждане на “ноу-хау”. На третия ден се разделихме по групи с хора със сходни интереси на различни социални теми. Темата, която аз избрах, беше престъпността при младежите. Проведохме множество дискусии относно основните цели и резултатите, които искаме да постигнем със създаването на образователна игра.
В продължение на три дни генерирахме идеи, поставяхме основите и правехме не дотам сложна механика за игри. Накрая успяхме да създадем страхотна симулация на интерактивна настолна игра. Нейната основна цел бе да представи различните избори, които правим, как те рефлектират върху останалите, да покаже какви други решения бихме могли да вземем и как те могат да бъдат повлияни от социалния кръг и семейството.
Междувременно успяхме да се сближим помежду си, да създадем нови приятелства и да научим много един за друг. Освен че срещнах страхотни хора, работещи с ентусиазъм и страст в сферата на социалната работа и образованието, придобих ценни знания и инструменти за представяне на идеи по неформален начин, които ще използвам в бъдещата си професия като учител.
В заключение мога да кажа, че съм изключително благодарен за възможността да участвам в тренировъчния курс, не само защото опознах нови култури, но и защото допринесе за моето развитие.

Between the 17th till the 24th I took part in the project „Game time“ in Velbert (Essen), Germany. The main topic was game design with the objective of creating educational games.
The first 2 days we spent on socializing, discussing what are the elements that make a game educational and building the know-how. On the third day we split into groups with people with the same interest in different social topics. My topic of interest was youth crime.
Discussions were held on the main objectives and learning outcomes which we want to achieve by creating the game. After 3 days of constant brainstorming, laying the base and the making more intricate yet simple game mechanics, we produced an amazing interactive/board game simulation. The main objective of our game was to present the different choices we make, how they affect the others, to show the various other choices we could make and how they could be influenced by social circle and family.
In the mean time we also bonded with each other, formed great friendships and learned a lot about each other. A part from meeting those amazing, enthusiastic people with passion of social work and education, I’ve obtained valuable knowledge and tools for conveying ideas in non-formal way which I will use in my future profession as a teacher.
Overall, I feel very grateful being able to take part in this training course not only because it allowed me to meet new cultures but also develop myself.

Entre el 17 y el 24 participé en el proyecto „Game time“ en Velbert (Essen), Alemania. El tema principal fue el diseño de juegos con el objetivo de crear juegos educativos.
Los primeros 2 días nos dedicamos a socializar, discutiendo cuáles son los elementos que hacen que un juego sea educativo y construyendo el „know-how“. El tercer día nos dividimos en grupos con personas con el mismo interés en diferentes temas sociales. Mi tema de interés fue el crimen juvenil.
Se llevaron a cabo discusiones sobre los objetivos principales y los resultados de aprendizaje que queremos lograr al crear el juego. Después de 3 días de constante intercambio de ideas, sentando las bases y creando mecánicas de juego más complejas pero simples, produjimos una increíble simulación interactiva de juegos de mesa. El objetivo principal de nuestro juego era presentar las diferentes elecciones que hacemos, cómo afectan a los demás, mostrar las otras opciones que podríamos tomar y cómo podrían ser influenciados por el círculo social y la familia.
Mientras tanto, también nos unimos, formamos grandes amistades y aprendimos mucho sobre los demás. Como parte de conocer a personas increíbles y entusiastas con pasión por el trabajo social y la educación, obtuve valiosos conocimientos y herramientas para transmitir ideas de manera no formal que utilizaré en mi futura profesión como profesor.
En general, me siento muy agradecido de poder participar en este curso de capacitación, no solo porque me permitió conocer nuevas culturas sino también desarrollarme.
