The youth exchange “Restoring Minds: A Mindset Retreat”; took place in Sigulda, Krimulda, Latvia, from 28th August to 5th September 2023 and aimed to help young people increase their self-awareness by focusing their mind, body, and soul on navigating the unknown and the unpredictable. The project aimed to give them the insight and toolkits needed to observe and understand negative feelings that arose due to the COVID-19 pandemic. With this project, participants were able to explore and implement many methods to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Ultimately, the project improved young people`s physical and mental health in both the short and long run. The project “Restoring Minds” exchanged positive and easy-to-implement practices among young people by facilitating cultural exchanges and creating cultural interaction through well-being activities and non-formal education.
The objectives of this project were to disseminate knowledge of positive habits and good lifestyle practices as well as to contribute towards a healthy life after COVID-19, to introduce young people to different types of mental health well-being practices through non-formal methods, to foster equity and inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities; to promote the ERASMUS+ program and opportunities for youth participation in partner countries and to develop cultural awareness and explore the differences between participating groups by facilitating cultural exchange and expression.
