The handbook “ActivatE+U” is among the main results of the project “ActivatE+U” (2022-1-BG01-KA151-YOU-000066289) under the Erasmus+ programme, prepared by the participants in the training course of the same name, held in Varbovo, Bulgaria between July 1-7, 2023. The handbook was prepared by youth workers from Bulgaria, Türkiye, Serbia, Romania and North Macedonia, who shared both their experience and the knowledge gained during mobility – training course for youth workers. It includes basic and comprehensible information about democracy, democratic processes and European institutions. Other important topics such as volunteering and youth leadership are also concerned. In addition, the participants – youth workers have also presented useful non-formal methods through which the interest of young people in European institutions can be increased and the motivation to be active citizens at the local and international level can be strengthened.
