„Healthy and Strong”

The project “Healthy and Strong” (№ 2021-1-BG01-KA152-YOU-000009698) under “Erasmus+” programme was developed as a response to the current situations of many young people, who experience lack of physical activity, disconnection with nature, consumption of fast and unhealthy foods and who were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic`s consequences in phycological aspect. Due to this as a main activity of the project we realised a youth exchange “Healthy and Strong” in the period 1-9.03.2023 in Belogradchik, Bulgaria. The main aim of the youth exchange was to improve the healthy lifestyle and well-being of young people in the partner countries by raising awareness of the benefits of physical exercise, healthy eating, acquiring skills to improve psychophysical health.

Implementing the youth exchange, we had high achievements among the 35 participants, who were actively engaged in all planned activities. We had several guests, who are specialists in mental health, training and dietary. The participants could benefit from their experience and use it in enhancing their learning process and development of specific competences. They prepared a special handbook for health and healthy lifestyle for their peers, which is one of their biggest contributions to the project.

The official project partners, whose cooperation was of great significance for achieving our aim, are from the following 7 organisations: Bulgarian Youth Forum (Bulgaria), Active EuroYouth (Turkey), Asociația “Balgarska Radost” (Romania), Zdruzenie Centar za inicijativi I akcija Gostivar (N. Macedonia), Institute of Regional Development “Here and Now” (Moldova), Harkivska asotsiatsia dlya aktivnoy molodi “Stella” (Ukraine), Спортски Савез Цариброд (Serbia).
