In the period 24-26 March, an international meeting in Sofia was held on the Young Community Organisers project, co-financed by the Erasmus+ programme. We had the opportunity to discuss the progress with our partners from Turkey, Italy, Spain and Romania and presented the results of a recently held seminar for youth leaders in Constanta. Bulgarian Youth Forum was represented by Kaloyan Tsvetkov, Teodora Koleva, Mihail Kalchev, Rumyana Gogova, Borislava Filcheva, Andrea Ermenkova and Irena Petrova. During the three day meeting, the volunteer of BYF under the European Solidarity Corps – Saradia Bregu, also became actively involved in the activities.
In addition, we planned our activities for the next training course, which will be held in late summer in Istanbul. We also commented on the subsequent steps in the construction of a realistic action plan for the project participants.
We also had the pleasure to meet with the leaders of the student community of Sofia University – Dayana Kilova from the Faculty of Law, Nikolay Lenkov, Borislava Filcheva and Ivaylo Ivanov from the Faculty of Geology and Geography (FGG). We visited the two faculties and met with some of their teachers and mentors.
The young people shared with us their work in the Student Council and their motivation to represent the student community. At the end of the meeting, we exchanged ideas for building stronger relationships and opportunities for future cooperation.
The participants also became acquainted with the exhibits of the two museums of FGG – in Paleontology and Historical Geology and in Mineralogy, Petrology and mineralogy museum.
Thank you for these fruitful days and see you in the next stage of our cooperation!
