81 students form 3 Bulgarian professional high schools are gathering in Greece between 13th and 26th of April 2018 to participate in the project “TRAINING, PRACTICES AND INITIATIVES IN TOURISM (OPIT 2*)”. It is conducted by the Key Action 1 – Learning Mobility of Individuals, sub action “Mobility projects in the field of education, training and youth” and more precisely “Mobility project for VET learners and staff”, co-funded with contract № 2016-1-BG01-KA102-023414 by Erasmus + programme. The project partners are the Vocational High School of Tourism in the city of Samokov, Vocational High School of Tourism in the city of Kyustendil, and Vocational High School of Trade and Restaurant Business in the city of Vratsa, Meli Tours, Thessaloniki. The project coordinator is Bulgarian Youth Forum and they are realizing the project with the kind support of the Xenios Anastasia Resort & Spa 5* hotel.
The project aims to give the opportunity to the students to practice in real conditions all of their acquired competences in theory in vocational high schools. The hotel, where the project is implemented, is providing 5* quality according to all of the ISO standards. Specialist from all the departments will share their time and knowledge with our students in order to teach them their practical skills in the sphere of services in that level quality standards.
Situated in a totally different setting in another country, the students will develop many other additional soft skills. Together with the specialists of the Bulgarian Youth Forum, in their free time, they will raise their competences in foreign languages, teamwork, creativity and marketing skills, etc.
As part of the marketing program on a daily basis, the students will make interviews with each other and write articles on the skills they have acquired and the work they have done in fulfilling their duties during the project.
