The Sport tournament “Live Actively” took place on 16th September 2017 in Kostinbrod. It was part of the project “Live Actively!”– an initiative of the Bulgarian Youth Forum and Municipality of Kostinbrod, funded by the Ministry of Youth and Sport. The day started at 10:00 with the speech of the major of Kostinbrod – Trayko Mladenov. The major was talking about the 5 addictions that the project touches: smoking, drinking, gambling, internet addiction, drugs, and reminded everyone to protect their health and do more sport activities instead.

Besides Trayko Mladenov, the event hosted a few other special guests: Titi Papazov, Metodi Deyanov and Pavel Vladimirov.

After the official opening every kid got a uniform and soon the tournament began. There were 6 different sports activities: volleyball, basketball, handball, table tennis, chess and football. The 200 children, that took part in the tournament, were from Secondary School “Dr. Petar Beron” (Kostinbrod) and Vocational High School of Veterinary Medicine and Agriculture “St. Georgi Pobedonosets” (Kostinbrod). Most of the activities were divided into two different categories for girls and for boys.

Pavel Vladimirov, taking up the animator role, kept everyone awake, energetic and ready to give their one hundred percent! There was even a surprise visit from little cheerleaders that performed their dance to the crowd.

After each competition there was a ceremony, where every participant got a medal, a diploma and the winning teams got a trophy.

Overall the day was full of fun activities and although many of the games got quite heated at certain points, everyone had a blast and  implementеа the idea of the tournament – to live actively!
